Noob 93 Ls400 Brakes
Hey, sorry to be posting something I know has been covered several times over... but could somebody direct me to a thread on brakes for a 93 LS400?
I've been searching for a while, and I still can't figure out what a good replacement for the brake pads would be (OEM or better..?) and where would be the best place to get them so I can put them in myself
thanks guys

Hi
I would suggest going to local parts stores. Ask them for brands and types of pads.
Usually OEM brake pads are organic (which is has more brake dust but smoother feeling) cost are usually higher then most and doesn't last the longest)
semi-metallic with is a mixed of orgranic and metallic compounds (which usually has less brake dust then organic offering similar same feel but last a bit longer)
metallic is full metallic compounds (which last the longest but might not give you the same feel and stopping distance)
Also consider performace pads which you will gain shorter stopping distance at a higher price.
All in all also depends on the brand of pads used.
My 2cents.
