Moonroof Replacement
Hello,
My 92 LS400 was recently totaled by a hailstorm and after trying to replace it with something for the little money we got for it my wife and I decided to keep it as it has been an exceptional car and probably has a good 200k left in her. I put a new windshield in and have been pulling a few dents each day after work with a PDR slide hammer.
I just picked up the moonroof glass off ebay and I am planning on installing it soon (hopefully this weekend). I have the manual documents per the attachments but I was wondering if anyone else has replaced the moonroof glass and if they have any tips before I begin.
Thanks in advance.

if it's the same as the 91 it take about 5 min. Remove the side trim peices, take off 6 nuts, swap glass put the nuts back on with the shims. My only trouble is that when doing it the first time I tried to use the glass for leverage when re-installing the trim and broke it. I haven't bothered to put the trim on it this time... it's a PITA

So easy a caveman could do it. It does seem to make a little more noise than my old one did even though I put the shims in exactly how they came out.
