Default 1993 LS400, Bad Engine misfire.

drove my car to a friends house, car was running perfectly fine. i left about an hour or so later, went up a small hill came back down and was about 2 blocks away when the car
randomly started to misfire. pulled over to the side and car idled so low that it stalled out. popped the hood to see if any thing was crimped and started it up to see if anything was visibly wrong..nothing. drove back to my friends house and started to diagnosis the car and found nothing wrong, car is getting plenty of spark and fuel. called my friend and he said the AFM might be a issue, ran to another friends house to pick up the AFM from his LS and plugged it in and ran the same.

NGK plugs and wires replaced less than 10k miles ago. distributer cap and rotor was replaced less than 20k miles ago. there is no check engine light.

any one have a idea on what this could be? my last option is to get AAA and then raise my car to get it towed back to my house.

apparently he did the tb/wp stuff a few weeks back (which he neglected to mention when he CALLED ME!!! ) and most likely its a tensioner related problem.
