Default Quoted $2500 For Repairs For Suspension Parts.

I recently changed from AS to regular Arnott coilovers. Took the vehicle to Firestone for complete suspension check. This is what they found and showed me.

Both rear ball joints $396 plus labor $411.60 Total $1203.60Rear Trail arms with bushing included $335.98 per side plus labor $117.60 Total$ 789.56Warped rear rotors $114.99 per rotor Total $229.98
With Taxes, shop supplies, Grand total came to $2507.69 They told me all this with a straight face. I already ordered the rear bushings from EBay; Vendor MYBUSHINGS.COM FOR $66. The rear trailing/control arm will eventually have to be replaced, but changing the bushings will do for now.
I have not been able to find ball joints except at the dealership and they are a little pricey. As far as rotors for the rears I’ve been checking these out. What do you guys thinks ?

I know most of you will proly direct me to the Brembo but right now the funds are a little short so I would be looking at the inexpensive ones. The car will no longer be driven daily so I can proly get away with inexpensive rotors for now. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the English Website?
Firestone? I had no intention of having any repairs done at that shop. I simply went to get a complete suspension check; $15.00 for a detail estimate.

Not surprised. A lot of these chain shops will overcharge for things that aren't even broken. I've used www.partsgeek.com and www.rockauto.com plenty of times for parts, but both these sites include aftermarket parts, where you have to be careful about what you buy.

Geeeez, they I guess you got your $15 worth. As for the rotors, Id actually stay away from the brembo blanks. My buddy has some on his SC and they squeal pretty good until warmed up, so for short drives they are an annoyance.

brake squeal isn't really dependant on the rotors as much as it is on pad choice...

did your friend cut the use new pads or...?

Default Control arms or trailing arms. Are they the same ?

ARE THESE ALSO CALLED TRAILING ARMS? NOT SURE BECAUSE THE SHOP SAID TRAC CONTROL ARM AND OTHERS ARE SAYING TRAILING ARMS. i JUST BOUGHT BUSHINGS FOR THE REAR TRAILING ARMS. i'M CONFUSE

The rear trailing arms can also be called the rear lower control arm or the rear track control arm. If they mentioned rear, they probably meant the rear trailing arm, which means you probably bought the right part.
