Default steering wheel/Air bag swap

Ive tried to research as much as i could and found 0 usable info. So if you know anything that would help please chime in. Im trying to badge my LS as a Celsior. Wondering if there is a black Toyota airbag that matches a 2.5LS airbag. If not is there a Toyota wheel that is black/wood that would match a 2.5LS interior. I don't want my car to say Toyota every where but the steering wheel.

nope, you're going to need to import one from japan.

Yeah I was trying to do this a while back myself, and ultimately gave up on the air bag assembly. The one from a MkIV Supra looks like it would fit, but you won't know 'till you try.

This is what I was told by Justin at Elite Auto Style, who I've had import other Celsior stuff:

"Unfortunately due to shipping regulations we are not allowed to ship airbags overseas as it is considered a “explosive”. However finding a used JDM airbag is very easy and I can ship the skin only if you like. For the skin you are looking at $150 plus shipping"

By "skin," he means just the cover. But from what I've read on here, the airbag is attached to the back of the skin...so...you'd have to get it all I do believe.

...when shipped properly, it is possible. just has to come via a container shipment.

But are the "skin" and airbag assemblies inseparable? If they can be detached, it's obviously cheaper just to do that. But if not, you'll have to import the entire thing.

*or just find a like-size "T" from another car and glue it over the "L" haha*
