Default 92 LS400 - hard to start when warm

This is another issue with the 92 LS400 I just bought. When the car is cold, it will start right up first crank no problem. But if it has been driven for anything more than 5 minutes, it ALWAYS takes two cranks to start up. And by that I mean the first time I hold the key over to crank it, I can hold it there as long as I want continually cranking and it will never catch or even act like its starting. But as soon as I quit cranking it, wait a second, then start cranking again, it will start right up! I figure it has something to do with this thread I posted -

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...h-at-idle.html

But I have not found the issue with that yet either. Anybody had similar problems?

Updated the other thread.....I installed both driver and passenger ignition coil and it still has a hard time starting when warm. Didn't change the starting at all.

Update: Swapped ECU's, still a no go. I'm getting tired of throwing parts at this car, really the only things left I can possibly think of aren't new with the ignition/fuel system is the injectors.

Unplug your ECT sensor and see if it hot starts better. If so, replace the ECT sensor.

Do you have a diagram or picture as to where I'm looking at/for? Is there any way to check if it's working correctly? Do I just need to replace it?

Have the same issue. Can crank forever first try, but always starts on attempt #2. Car runs fine otherwise. Checking VSV tonight.

Was anyone successful in resolving this issue? Thanks.

Replaced VSV, still no luck. Checked fuel pressure regulator, works properly with vacuum off and on...still thinking of pulling fuel pump and checking it out, but otherwise I am resolved to slowly killing my starter.

Do you smell any fuel when it won't start after the engine has warmed (5 min)...?
