97 ls400 Idle surge
Idle surges very bad; rpm go back and forth from about 900 to about 2200...
I can see nothing obvious... vac lines seem O.K. all sensors are connected...
I do not have a way to retrieve codes.
Please, advice me!!!

Do you have any check engine lights on the dash? Goto your local autozone or advance autoparts to get you codes retrieved and report back to us. Without those codes you're not going to get any help here... Could be a thousand things.
