There's a guy at my work who is betting that the first gen LS cannot go faster than 160. I swear I remember a post /review somewhere about the LS400 hitting 184 on the track (without the speed chip of course..)

Anyone know?

give me tires that are rated over 150 and I will find a hill to go 160 up from

Looks like it. I had full inspection when I bought my car and the ECU was messed around with. I take it that there is no governer.

retro, I'm running latef ro work but are you going to buy the ECU? the fuel mixture one? If you are hold up and we can buy them together, just let me know and I'll figure out a way to get the money.

I did 162 mph downhill on 15 freeway.. but top end is 158 mph when go straight with no hills. mine is 3rd generation 98
