1998 LS400 power steering oil leak
after a 1000km HARD run, i was 2 hours from home when i lost the power steering. At first i thought i had a flat tyre but no... i pulled into a gas station and with the engine still running there was oil all around the power steering resovoir and when i took the cap off the oil was very airated and bubbling alot.
when the engine running it didnt seem to leak under the car but when i turned off the motor it began fast dripping under the radiator area. its going up on the hoist in the next few days to investigate.... does anyone have any surgestions as to what it might be ?

Well -
the P/S has a return line that winds around the front of the car to get some marginal cooling effect. The pressure line goes towards the back of the car to the rack itself, which is a few feet behind the radiator area.
Could be that you had a return line rupture. Not a big deal, use standard 3/8" P/S hose or A/T cooler hose to replace the leaking segment.
If its the pressure hose, you'll have to order the right part to replace it.
