Hey All

I read ion anther post that my stock Sub should be a 10inch 2 ohm sub. Is this correct? I was putting in gas today and out of curiosity I decided to look at the sub. I discovered tha the previous owner had replaced the sub with anoth Pioneer sub but it is rated at 4 ohms and has a sticker on it marking $79. Obviously not a high quality speaker. I need to look up the model number but my question is :?

If I replace this 4 ohm sub with a quality 2ohm one will I get a significat upgrade. Right now I do get some bass but I do not believe Im getting my 10inches worth!

My goal is to get the most out of my system with out building a box or adding amps.

I thought the 91 ls4 had a 8" sub? maybe thats just w/ the pioneer system

Can't tell you by measuring, speaker ohms is an impedance (Z) issue, not simple resistance.

my 91 Lexus came with a 8inch and it's a poineer system, I replaced it with another 8 inch because it ripped maybe the nakamichi's come with a 10 inch?

Hey guys this is great info. Now I now its an 8 inch, can you tell me if it should be replace with a 2ohm or a 4ohm speaker?
