Default 99 LS 400 Self Leveling Headlamps

Hello i purchased 99 ls 400 with factory HID'S and when i start the car i can see the headlights move... now thats the only time i ever see them work ... can anyone explain actual purpose of this or when will they move or any info on it... i dont have owners manual or else i would read up... thanks guys

they do move when you're driving the car except its much slower and smoother. the only reason they move up and down when you start the car is a self-diagnostic to make sure the motors are working and to level them out.

when I put the car in my garage, I can see the light come down a little bit since my driveway have a few degrees of incline, it suppose to self level to keep down the light to the proper driving height.

Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the self leveling lights?
My lights seams to be pointing down more than it should.
