I'm on ebay searching for a reliable replacement for my blacked-out, lcd screen, a/c climate control unit ('92 ls4). Some sellers say they tested the unit and everything works (ranges from 69 to 125 dollars). The warranties ranges from 14 days to 90 days. The only problem with that is the seller who is offering the 90 day warranty appears to be selling a blacked-out unit and he's unreachable. The other sellers who are offering smaller warranties are reachable. I'm concerned with buying a unit that tested well but may black out in the near future. My thought is that a rebuilt one will last longer (One seller is offering a 100 day warranty with a completely rebuilt unit with all the bulbs at 285 dollars. He says it will last another 10 years or the life of the car). Does it matter if it is rebuilt or not? As long as it tested well, with everything working fresh out of another '90-'92 ls4, right? Which one should i buy? Thanks for your help

For $75 with lifetime warranty and free shipping, it must be something very simple to fix. Maybe the cap again in this case.

My 94 LS AC LCD is out and there is no backlight I have to check it out.
