tachometer issue

Tachometer does not work.. stays below 0 as it does when the car is at rest. does anyone know where the tach sensor is in the hood? does anyone have a parts index guide manual diagram in a pdf format?

Seems to be a common problem here lately... especially on the 1991 model.
