the "OEM Toyota" power steering fluid is just regular old DEXRONIII/Mercon spec trans fluid, same as you find in many domestic cars...

OP... If you go to your local gas station, they will have a generic Dex/Merc fluid that you can put in there and it cost like $2. I am not trying to tell you what to run in your car, I am just telling you the best way to save a few bucks because it's not like your PS system sees the same friction and other stress that oils see. And If your not an expert, please don't say i'm pretty sure it's better, cause they are different. I have seen engines come in with Amsoil after 10-15k miles and they need a new motor, which they claim you can go 25k... I have never seen someone have any issues at any of the dealers or repair places I have worked at unless it was long over the oil change date/mileage, but never under 3k miles.

Amsoil only claims these things, they have never ponyed up and proved it by getting the proper specs. Would I use it, sure, would I go 25K no way in hell. DYODD

The synthetic base oil enables excellent performance even in the severest of operating conditions. It offers outstanding gear shifting and power transfer performance versus conventional ATF fluids. The inherently high viscosity index and stability of Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF help protect against thermal breakdown at high operating temperatures, while still providing outstanding performance at very low ambient temperatures.

Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF combines high-performance synthetic hydrocarbon base oils and a superior balanced additive system to provide significantly higher levels of performance above conventional fluids. This unique, advanced technology provides long drain capability, excellent friction retention, and low-temperature fluidity. Further, it helps to improve overall transmission durability and cleanliness. Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is also compatible with conventional ATFs.

Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF is formulated for use in most North American, European and Asian vehicles.

Really? Then who's the Donaldson or Baldwin of the passenger car motor oil industry? Don't say it's Amzoil. This should be good.
