Default What is 'EGR' in Lexus terminology?

Nothing about 'EGR' in my two service manuals. What does Toy call it?

Thx

It should def. be an EGR Valve. That's what is stated for an OEM part.

EGR VALVE
LS400 2562050030 $ 324.40

The tube is what usually rusts to death though.

Important to mention, that the EGR tube is mis-represented in the tech book. They say you have to remove the cyl head but you don't. You pull the exhaust and crossmember, and the trans needs to slip down a bit with some force via a prybar or some heavy wood. Then there's enough room to reach the EGR. People say it takes 3hrs.

My lexus has stated to get very loud as if there is an exhaust leak coming from near the engine. Could it be this?
