Hope for a reply your post is quite old
Probably a stupid question but understand if not
I did not do it myself, I got a professional retro technician to do that. it will be hard to do now as the after market clear headlights seem discontinued. xenon headlights might not be street legal in your country (including Texas I guess). the retro process requires aiming work on the car. shipping cost will be high.

though the return is high (modern appearance, excellently bright lighting), troubles and costs would turn you away.

I could do it with no attention to make money off you (I am rich enough haha) but you would think it would not worth it

Its really not fair to other drivers having to shield their eyes from the stupidly bright head lights, or brake lights.

not sure of your intention in above comment but xenon headlight is approved in many countries. xenon, led or traditional headlight can all be offensive on road if drivers misuse

bright lights aren't the problem, poor light distribution and improper shielding is. Retrofitting HID projectors is actually the correct and safe way to upgrade to HIDs as the light spread is legal and safe.

Legality for retrofitting varies depending on region but i've never seen anyone get in trouble for properly retrofitted HID projectors.

Is Dicer on everyone's lighting thread now complaining about "bright lights". Get some of those night time sunglasses they sell on the shopping channel...order now and get the second pair free!

It does become irritating to see so many stuffing HID bulbs into their halogen baffled/reflector designated housings. These days the retro kits have better designed bulbs so the capsule emits more closely to a halogen bulb in non-HD reflector housings. These manage to put out a decent beam pattern. Not as sharp a cut-off like a true HID designed housing but passable. I've not seen it on the 95-97 baffled lenses so if you have them, I would like to see a beam pattern.
