in fact i do have an issue when i plan to setup 2 more projectors for the fog lights. my problem is i dont have enough room behind them. i already bought 2 pairs of projectors but can install 1 pair now. i am looking at drilling the metal behind the fog lights for fit projectors. if this can be done, i will have double amount of lights with 2 pairs of bi-xenon.
the good thing is that i can turn on just one pair or 2 pairs at a time depending on road condition. the down side is that i will lose the halogen passing lights
whats your idea about this?

i am not sure how ls430 projectors look like, but i dont think its a problem, the headlight housing can fit virtually any projectors. if i am not wrong, ls430 projector is not bi-xenon, hi beam is still halogen

sure, i will take some pix of the inside. i actually have around an inch distance from the battery or air filter housing to headlight ends. dont worry about that.

my Hella ballasts and bulbs are on the way, now its time to plan for the fog bi-xenon. it looks a bit harder to do as there isnt enough room behind the fog
how it looks if the projector sits in place. cool eh!
compare dia. of projector and the fog
length of both looks similar, however, projector will need more room for bulb, igniter and housing
i am thinking of cutting a hole on chasis to fit the xenon. any alternative?

ok, a friend of mine has just got his 94 retrofited using same stuff, here's how they did it
remove the headlight from housing
use a heat gun to warm up the silicon
then pry out the lens from housing
take it out
lens removed
now cut the tail to get the projector in
good hole
now try the projector in place and mark where to cut for actuator
now cut it
"fine tune" the hole
sit the projector in
now drill a hole
the other side
now screw it in
try the bezel
now do the back side, need some creativity here hehe
use a plastic water pipe
(to be continued)

very nice pics and step by step process. doesnt seem complicated at all if ur a DIYer. makes me wana buy some projectors and clear lenses and do the retrofit now haha.
question about the bezel. did u have to shave/trim it at all to fit the curvature of the housing? or did just fit right in?

I think that is really awesome, 1st that you have the skills to do that and 2nd how good it looks.
One thing though, OEM HID are not as expensive as thought. Just picked up OEM HID assembly for $69 each on Ebay, now that housing is no good but it comes with everything. Others have gone for $150.
Also on www.car-parts.com you have many, many OEM HID available along with a ton of other parts from junk yards around the country. I found my wood steering, wheel and shifter as well as my Naka receiver.
Really nice work either way though.
cheers
