I saw a broken down Ls400 off the 405 freeway yesterday-that's a first!

Whoever it was, had their head under the hood poking around.

maybe it was just a dead battery ;-)

Yeah, that'd be a first for me too. If he's broken down he must have a bazillion miles on it and neglected too many of the periodic maintenance items too many times. You don't have to perform every recommended procedure every time they recommend it, but you do have to do a few things now and then.
