BCR coilovers on ls400
Has any one driven an ls400 with BCR coilovers? What was your experience with handling vs ride quality? Do you know what the stock ls 400 spring rates are front and rear?

Welcome to CL. I don't know OEM spring rates however Tanabe's are rated 10-15% higher. That may help you determine spring rate unless somebody else chimes in.
Most members here use Megan vers BC Racing tho.

Thanks. I have Bilstein HD with H&R Springs. Springs are set on lower perch as Bilstein HD's have (2) settings. It gives about 2" drop all around.
I would buy coilovers definitely - you get lowered stance and adjust-ability. I have decent stance but for me to stiffen the spring rate I have to get creative and use progressive polymer foam bumpers and coil rubber inserts. It is fine for most people but I built my LS to be responsive (sway bars, strut tower bars, poly bushings, etc.).
Coilovers are the way to go. Based on many members here Megan's are the real deal for under $900.

i'm a fan of the Megans since they've been GREAT to me, JICs have had mixed reviews in reliability, and KSport's early quality issues (not necessarily with the LS mind you) kind of put a damper on their emergence into the lexus world.
d2 coilovers and BC coilovers seem to be getting good reviews from the GS/SC guys though.

oops sorry. I was talking about how F2, D2, or Ksports are never a favorite for MR2 owners. The thread I linked is about a suspension tech that actually placed the coilovers on a shock dyno and also rebuilt them. The dyno results show they barely have any bump force and all rebound. For my own opinion, I think they are the best for the money especially the newer D2's since they were improved and rebuilding them doesn't cost too much. Performance wise, I'd say they're ok.
