I was talking to a friend of mine who has a MKIV Supra and he was telling me if you do a exhaust cams upgrade, it will get you around 40 more rwhp. I'm all over that if its true. Any thoughts? Its my 00 LS400

its a cheap power trick that is somewhat controversial in the mkiv community.

any cam upgrade to the 1UZ engine should give a good amount of power, but the CHEAPEST cams for the VVTi motor start at ~$1,100+

the SC will be but the pulley/manifold won't.
besides, to make REAL power you'll need cams anyways.

Figures! This 1UZFE is awesome but not cheap to make bigger power.... I think 450-500HP would make it interesting I would prefer naturally aspirated versus forced induction but that target HP would make the car interesting. Apologize for hijacking your thread.

True - that is a project I will do once I replace this one as my daily driver. My boss has a Maserati GT that puts out about 400HP. Driving it is fun. Since the LS weighs about 500 Lbs more I think 400-450HP would make it interesting to drive - again sorry to hijack thread
