Unhappy New struts and now ride is horrible

I have a 98 LS400 with a little over 100K. The struts were getting fairly bouncy so I had them replaced with KYB. Now the bounce is gone but the suspension translates the most minute road imperfections with perfect fidelity and the ride is no longer Lexus-like at all.

Call me an idiot if you must but please tell me what I can do to get back to my Lexus ride back?

Well did you put lowering springs on there as well? The KYBs are a bit stiffer than the OEM struts. So you would feel more or the road.

Aftermarket KYB's are a little more stiffer than stock, however it is/will be as close to OEM as you can get. You will notice a small bit of ride difference, but not that much. OEM shocks are KYB's as well, however they were/are spec'ed/designed a bit different exclusively for Lexus and are not sold as aftermarket. The only TRUE way to get that Lexus ride back is to go with OEM from the dealer; however be prepared to pay a bit for them.
