Hey all so I have a 1990 LS 400 with a little over 200,000 miles on it. had it for about 6 months and so far it has been running great however, this past week or so it has been making a rather loud-damn how to explain it- like a rumbling noise whenever I press the accelerator. When im on the highway the noise quiets down(so the faster i go the quieter the sound) but when im driving on the road the sound is loud. Should I be concerned? the sound does not seem to have any affect on the performance of the car there is no smoke or leaks and still has plenty of power but the noise is gettting distracting and embarresing. anyone know what it could be and even maybe what i should prepare myself to pay when i get it repaired(if you have experienced a similar problem)

Need a little more info on your problem, possibly where the noise may be coming from. Suspecting your fan clutch nracket may be bad, just based on what you provided, but need more info so that we can help you narow down what may be going on.
