So my tranny seems to be bad. I am currently looking to replace it.

I wanted to know what years or other lexus models tranny would be able to go with my 1994 engine.

A friend of mine has a 1994 sc400 tranny and motor sitting around his shop and offered to sell either or both to me.

Would the sc400 tranny work? If not, I suppose I could do the engine and tranny swap too? Hes selling it pretty cheap to me so basically the tranny and motor together from him would cost about the same as just a used tranny at a junkyard.

Any input is appreciated. I have been searching, but havent found what im looking for.

trans will bolt on but the wiring will be different because there's a different number of solenoids in the LS vs. SC trans iirc. best bet would be a '93/94 LS400 trans.

is there any way to make the wiring work pd?

Reason being, id rather purchase and get an install from someone i know and trust. Would like to make it work if possible.
