Default 95' Avalon + 90' LS400

My grandparents have a 95 toyoa avalon, which I used to drive often before I got my lex..

I drove it aorund while my car was in the shop-WOW I forgot how zippy that thing is! I could accelerate smoothly and quick, and could fly around corners like nothing! It peels out pretty easily also.

Anyone else ever drive one of these? they fly!

I now realize how heavy and slow my beast LS is.. LOL..although it runs a little better with a clean air filter..next comes those sparkplugs...that should help too.

Yeah, I too wished my 1993 LS400 was a tad bit faster, but oh well...

I try to justify it as a weekday car and I'm saving up for a weekend car.

my mom just bought a 2002 Toyota Avalon and it's waaay lighter than my LS 400 and it's, I hate to say it, faster than my car, mainly because it's lighter, and it's a FWD.... oh well...

My wife drives a '96 Avalon. The V6 has decent pickup, but it's no comparison to my '99 LS400. Of course my LS is stock, so no big rims to slow it down. :-) After driving either one, my '93 Accord feels like it can't get out of its own way.

Is the Avalon based on the same platform as the Camry/ES?

The Avalon is basically a stretched camry that can seat six if you opt for the front bench seat. BTW this applies for the pre-current bodystyled Avalons.
