How to test sending unit and gauge
94 LS400
Could you please tell me how to isolate problem with fuel gauge?
Symptoms: Gauge moves a fraction from bottom out when key is on but shows below empty and light is on, gas in tank. Sometimes when I wiggle the connector at sending unit at the fuel tank, gauges moves to 1/4 tank then drops again ( what is in tank!) I want to check if it is the gauge or the connector? I need to know wich wires to cross connect at sending unit connector for wich test.

PS: Do not tell me to cross wire 1 and three for example unless you let me know color codes of wires as I do not have a book
