1993 ls400 poor acceleration
hello there - i own a nov 93 build ls400 ( Australian spec RHD )
i have owned this car for nearly 6 years
it is a great car - expect for one glaring fault - when the engine is up to operating temp and the weather outside is very hot - over say 90 degree F approx - the car feels slow and i often have to drop it down manually to 2nd gear to make it go!
perforamance when the engine is cold and the weather is cool is a lot better
someone suggested adding a 4.7 ohm resistor to the air temp (IAT) circuit to trick the computer into thinking that the engine is running cooler
has anyone heard of anyone doing this? and does it work?
thankyou , Murray
