Default Newbie here... needs assistance. Dashboard light...

I have an unidentifiable service light on my dashboard. The symbol is a car (top view, looking down on it), there are 3 little lines coming from each side of the back of the car.

Is this for exhaust system or rear lighting? My lights are fine, and just had an oil change, flushed engine, new filters (air included).

Any suggestions on the lights meaning? And any indication of what service is required and/or possibilities?

Thanks a bunch, I love my Lexus, but don't know much about engines, per se.

thanks guys... i was worried it was some exhaust problem. in the recent service i mentioned i had them replace a burnt out bulb of one of the brake lights. ill have to check into the new issue.

again, thanks a bunch.

btw-

1991 LS400
174,000+

Purchased in May 2003 from dealer (from original owner trade-in) when it had 74,000., immaculate condition too.

I laid on 100K in 6 years, just got broken in. Runs like champ. Cant wait to get to 200,000.

+1 on brake light bulb sensor. You may have another bulb that is out. Have someone step on the brakes, with all of your lights on, and check to make sure that everything lights up brighter. Also have them put the car into reverse to make sure backup lights come on. It could very well be a terminal inside one of the brake light bulbs which has gone bad. Brake bulbs have 2 terminals in them. 1 for nighttime markers lights, the other for brakes. If everything is lit with just the lights on, they should get brighter when you press the brake. Also another common overlooked area is the third brake light in the window, which has 2bulbs and not 1.
