I don't understand your question. Are you asking how to replace the entire HVAC control unit or to replace its LCD screen?
The HVAC control unit in all LS400's is attached to the same metal frame that the radio is attached to. After you pull out the entire HVAC/radio headunit, it is easy to separate the HVAC control unit from the radio head unit.

anybody knows how to replace the screen and some of the bulbs!!!a part of unit is not working( lets say a rectangular section) and is not lit!!!!!!!!!!

They charge $ 99.00 to replace the LCD and all burned out bulbs! and included will ship back you. I have used them and they were great. ALSO THEY NOW WILL REPAIR LEXUS ECUs for the same price!I have on my desk right now an ECU and a Climate Control Unit out of a 94 that I am sending to them.
Best of luck ( For 99 it is well worth not messing with the unit!)

Changing bulbs on climate control
Changing bulbs no problem, changing LCD much trickier.
There is detailed description for changing bulbs somewhere here I just don't myself where it is.
