2 rubber pieces saved me $800
believe it or not, my 90 ls400 coilover was thought to be bad as my car always sinks to ground running over uneven road, both front and rear wheels.
I replaced front shock absorbers, no improvement. I was about to spend $800 for the megans (plus 400+ for shipping and tax) however, last week I decided to replace the rear shock absorbers, when they replaced the rear ones, I asked to check the front, they said my front sway bushing must be replaced. I said ok, just 2 pieces of rubber holding the front sway bar to chasis. after work done. I tested the car and immediately felt the difference. the car is much more driveable, and especially it no more sinks to ground running over the same bumby road I go everyday
what a surprise, i search wiki and found an article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sway_bar
it says sway bar together with coilover contribute to the stiffness of suspension system. suspension tunners have a choice of either replacing stiffer coilovers or sway bar
in my case, i think the bushing was broken and too soft to hold the sway bar tight enough reducing the stiffness of suspension system. replacing them has brought the car back for driving joy
hope this helps people with same issue
