A search turned up numerous replies for a gen 1 LS (push plastic things down while pulling up on the headrest), but this method does not work on a 2000. Does anyone know how to get the electric headrest off a gen 2 LS???

extend up fully and pull hard .
or stick your arm in and lower the headrest with the button to pop it off its hook.
