Red face 1999 LS400 Owners

Hey CL! I am a new owner of the legendary, luscious, luxurious love of my life My 1999 LS400 in Diamond White. And yes I have nick named her *Diamond*
I just wanted to start a thread solely dedicated to this year and model, since it looks like it gets lost in the forums somewhere!
Please brag about your 99' LS400 and share any great accessories or upgrades that you have done! Also, your maintenance schedules or repairs to look out for! Just about anything! I am a NEW Enthusiast and I want to know what I am in for for the long haul! Also, I am looking for a Wood Shift **** for the 99 LS400 as well. I love LEXUS but some of their parts are on the pricey side and it is a recession people so don't beat me up for looking for a great deal elsewhere!

OK CL! Let the Threads begin!!!!

you realize that aesthetically and mostly mechanically the 98-00 LS400s are all the same right?

regardless, here's mine.

Okay FIRST and Foremost your LS400 is AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS! Second, I wasn't sure if there was much of a difference between the 98, 99, and 00 LS400's But thanks for putting this "Newbie" in check on my lack of knowledge in that field. Thanks for replying too. I guess I just thought a forum thread for this year would benefit those that are only concerned with their year vehicle. Love your reply all the same ) Thanks PureDrifter!!!

PureDrifter, I am glad I saw yor car. I have a 2000 I just put 19's on and now I would like to change my springs and lower it. Nothing to aggresive maybe 1.25 or 1.5 all the way around. What brand do you think, and are there any problems I might run into since I have the active air susp. Or will they just mount in factory spot?

it will mount but you will need all new strut top mounts and new shocks. there's no real way to lower the factory air suspension and drive it low without blowing the bags.

if you want basically a full conversion, hit me up in a bit, i MIGHT be selling my LSportline suspension......keep an eye on the LS430/400 classifieds...

as far as brands, for that lowering, buy some H&R. or some used Eibachs if someone sells them.

Wow! Really Nice! Is that paint original? Does the inside look as good as the outside?

hahah, yeah the paint is original, it's actually kind of rough but was clean when this picture was taken. the interior is in decent shape, no rips/tears/noticeable wear
