Trust me on this, you're gonna just want to change out the whole axle... servicing just the boots is a *****, messy, and just a *****... its easier and way faster to just change out the axle,,,

So it's just about that time to replace the cv axles on my 90. The inner boots (the side connected to the differential) are completely torn/worn off.
I've searched a bit but haven't found any solid recommendations on brands to trust or where to possibly get them "refurbished".

So....any suggestions on brands to trust? Used OEM go nearly for the same amount as "reman" units. Local mechanics have all suggested replacing the axles instead of the boot after taking a closer look at the damage.

The help is really appreciated.

hit up ABC Axle in la puente (since you're in socal).

they do a ton of CV axles/steering racks and can probably get you what you need.

Thanks PD. I already called them to touch base on their services and they gave a reasonable price on the repairs, including labor with work done in-house. They were friendly on the phone and said it would only be several hours for the axle shaft repairs/rebuilding. So, i'll be going there very soon to get this done.

IDK about having them do the work, I just picked up a steering rack from them last week
