My passenger-side rear speaker is doing something strange. I'll turn the music up and I'll hear it making this "buzzing" noise along with the sound... but it's only at really loud volume. Do I need new speakers? If so, what would be a great brand to replace them with?

you're reaching the limit that the speaker, headunit, amp, and/or source can produce.

only one speaker? it's either the speaker or the amp. is it coming from the midbass speaker or the tweeter?

Tweater I think. I just was on a trip down to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl and all the stuff started going wrong with the car. Would Upgrading all the speakers sound better than the stock ones without an upgraded AMP?

only if the stock ones are blown.

the OEM speakers in the 98-00 are of pretty good quality, if just the tweeter is out i'd look for an OEM one. or replace the whole front stage with a good set of components, but even those won't shine without an external amp.
