also, on the 1LS this was very common. if water got into the trunk, it'll hit the amp and it'll stop sound until it was dry. if u search, u'll see i also had this problem and EXEUCF10 helped me with this problem.
ok, I checked the radio fuse by the emerg. brake and the fuse is good, what do I do now?
Just noticed you've got 2 threads going on this. Try to keep it to one prob = one thread. Otherwise we can't follow what's been posted and it becomes a PIA to search for the continuity. So I'll repost in your other thread.

There's another fuse in the engine compartment that is for a factory installed cell phone. If that fuse blows, the radio will turn on but you won't get any sound. It's around the center of the fuse block, 15 amp I believe. Can't remember the location number but it will be in your owners manual.
Try keeping it on a low volume and see if u get some sound. When my battery died, I tried to start my car and nothing, my radio was on and I heard a pop.... thought nothing of it. Got a new battery in, and now my radio won't turn up past 1/4... any thing after that, the sound cuts out but the subwoofer still works....my system is a pioneer. Do you have pioneer or nakamichi? Pioneer systems, the mid/high speakers run directly off the head unit and the sub has an amp. The nakamichi system, all the speakers run through an amp first... possibly the amp may have taken a dump...
