Default Hot Air when the heat is not on. HELP

hi everyone i have a ls400 1995 with about 104,000 miles. This started happening a few months ago but when i am going above 50 or so the hot air comes on and i don't have the heat on, not even the air conditioning. and then when i go about 80 its starts blowing in my face, it works better off then when it is on. Does anybody know what is going on.

What I've noticed in our 1LS is that whatever temperature the climate control was left at dictates how cold or warm the air is going to be when the vent is open and system is off. Try turning on your fan and adjusting the temperature down all the way. Then turn it off and when you have air filtering in while driving (vent open) it shouldn't be too warm.

Does this also happen when you have it on recirculate?

If you have recirculate on air will not enter your LS when in motion, when it off air will enter and your temp is most likely set on HOT or close to it that's why this is happening to you. Nothing is wrong with your LS. Like Khiladi stated, turn on the Heat/AC adjust the temp to a lower setting and you'll notice a difference.
Why don't you just keep the air on and adjust accordingly?

Same procedure with ours. Why it changes with the OP is ?? Wonder if some vacuum line is leaking or such...that controls the blend door.

Ive noticed when I keep the heat on and turn it off without turning it down first, that the heat will sometimes continue to blow a little. Try setting the air down before turning it off, and see what that does for you?
