1 Millionth Dash Illumination Thread?
Hello all!
I'm new here and have been doing a lot of reading on LS400s both before I bought one and especially now that I'm a proud owner of a 93' black on black LS.
I'm curious to know, as my searches on the issue were fruitless, will needles from a 90-92 or perhaps 95-00 work in a 93 gauge cluster? I'm trying to locate a cluster with needles in good shape for a reasonable price that I can cannibalize to refurbish my own.
My gas gauge has a dim tip and my other needles have the black paint on the sides of them cracking off. I've done my research and will be fixing the flickering dash problem with the appropriately sized capacitors, but this won't address my less than satisfactory needle condition. Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated!
Also, on a totally unrelated subject... will the ball joints from a 90-92 fit the 93-94? If not, what are the differences? I've noticed that the P/Ns for the two generations are different, yet their appearance isn't. You can only tell so much from pictures on the internet, so I'm curious to know what changed if in fact they are different.
Thanks in advance for the help and I look forward to contributing to these boards!

I cannot 100% assure you that the needles are perfect.
The cluster has been taken out of the car for quite some time, but when I took it out the needles were working fine.
You shoot me a PM if you think you'd be interested as I don't want to waste anyone's time.
