Smile wassup i have a few quesions

ok so here is the deal i currently drive a lexus ls400 1995 with 247,xxx.
it has a few problems like for example my gas milage 7.8 mpg lol....i no it crazy
but also it the traction light blinks on and off...i cant stop it and when it blinking i can peel out non stop there is no traction...

im currently looking into 2 other ls's a 400 and a 430

the 400 is a 1998 with 140,xxx but the check engine light is on that kinda worries me and he told me its a sensor in the transmission...serious???
-i test drove the car and tryed flooring it a few times but no matter how many times i floor it it switches at 4rpm... is there a block or it might be that sensor?

the ls430 is a 2001 with 205,xxx it was used in a limo company so i no it was not abused....

what should i do???

well if the ls430 is in better condition, i would go with that car instead.

I would not even consider the 98 unless you get it checked by lexus and figure out whats wrong with it.

pretty much we need more info on both cars.

the economy is bad, and the LS's value is taking a beating because of it. Dont rush.

I would go with the LS400 unless the 430 has Navi.

i think the 400 has a problem in the crank sensor not the transmission.
test drive it and see if it stutters.
take the 430. the repair for the 400 is more then 500 from what i remember.
