Battery, oil and brake have been Toyota's indicator of alternator. Not always, when my alt died in the Lex...the car just kept running on battery till it was gone. Then the battery light came on.

Alternator. Did the same thing on my car, except the lights would turn off if I revved the motor. Do you have a powersteering leak? If you do, It's probably dripping on to the Alt. and killing it. You can replace the Alt., but if you dont fix that leak you'll have to replace the Alt. again in the near future...

survey says........ alternator as well. Next time, give us more info as to mileage, and year. This makes life easier for everyone.

but that doesn't explain the oil light... but i'd check into the alternator asap before it leaves you stranded somewhere.
