This is the second time I've cleaned the lenses. The first stuff I used was basically two steps of wet sanding, and then apply a wax type product.
This stuff was the same two step wet sand, then polish, and then a clear sealer, which made a HUGH difference.
Hopefully this will last longer, the other stuff lasted about a year.

The final step very well may have been that de-fogg cream in the kit. What ever it is, you wipe it on generously and leave it alone, no buffing off.

The bag says 5 min a headlight. I spent about a half hour all said and done. Did some extra wet sanding on each step, plus I did the fog lights too.
Cost $20.

A;; the product work the same they remove the old UV coating which has disintegrated and yellowed from chemicals and age.
Polishing is great but you have removed the ugly protective layer and left the headlight plastic open to the air. It will now oxidize faster than a quick cleaning . You HAVE to cover the headlights with clear bra material or it will reappear in a few weeks.
Hell toothpaste would have done the same job but nothing other than weekly waxing as the headlights produce heat and strip it away will keep it clean.

Yaaa........I'm aware of all that, that's why I tried this stuff, because in the pouch of stuff there was pouch #2, which is a clear sealer. Like a PolyGlo, which has been on my Mastercraft boat in the Florida sun, for about 7 years, and is now ready for a re-do.
I explained it here:

How long does clear bra last?? How is it applied?? Where can you buy it??
You know....we change our oil and wash our cars, so now we add sanding our headlights, throw it in there between, rotating tires, changing brakes.
So if this stuff works and keeps your lenses clean for the life of the car .........would you used it??
I'll keep you posted.
Edited Here: Went to a site that sells the Clear Bra material ( http://www.invisiblemask.com/site.html ).
Looks like good stuff, anybody here using it? Right now I don't need this stuff, we'll see how long it lasts.......good thing there is an archive.
