94 LS400 Won't Start? Is it my spark plugs?
So last Monday i decided to seafoam my car, and everything went smoothly. My car started fine and i didn't notice a big change except for a slight increase in mpg.
Well my car has been working fine till last night. I drove out to eat dinner with a few friends, then drove to their place to hang out. I came out 3 hours later to find out my car just won't start. When i turn the key in the ignition it sounds like it normally does, except it just won't start. Everything sounds fine but for some reason it won't start. I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to auto mechanics so im not sure what exactly is the problem. I checked the fuses and everything looks fine. I tried unplugging my battery and that didn't work. Check all the cables visible to make sure they were not loose. So i was curious if it might have to do with my spark plugs. I found a diy guide from lexls.com on how to replace the spark plugs, but wasn't sure if it was. If it ain't my spark plugs, i guess i'll have to go get my car diagnosed. One of my friends said it could be my alternator but i have no idea. I just wanted a second opinion before i actually go do a diagnostic.
I just bought this car about back in may, and the owner didn't say anything about changing the spark plugs. so as for maintenance im not sure when it was last checked.
I MIGHT be able to provide a video in an hour if my buddy has time to bring his camcorder.
Any help would be appreciated.

when you say it wont start, do you mean the starter is turning, everything is cranking just not starting? Or do you mean your starter won't turn over?
Can you smell gas?
You said you checked fuses, have you checked the EFI fuse or relay?

Nothing to do with spark plugs!
I have exactly the same problem last week; towed the car to dealer, they said ECU no good.
note: my engine would keep running rough after start if I floor it, otherwise it stalled right away after start.

i think what puredrifter was getting at is that this sounds like a wiring issue. Something is causing your EFI fuse to blow. Either a bad ground or a wire has rubbed through the insulation allowing a short. I do not know the wiring of your car but perhaps the EFI wiring is somehow tied into the trunk hinge wiring harness. Maybe it has rubbed thru there.
I would start tracking wires now.
