Exclamation exaust manifold gasket?

Hello all, I just got a 91 ls400 with 182k mi a month ago and while on my way to dinner tonight the car started accellerating very roughly and it sounds like air is pushing out like maybe the exaust manifold has kicked the bucket. I have a couple questions. What are the typical symptoms of a blown exaust manifold gasket and roughly how much will it be to get it repaired with an independent mechanic? One side note is the cars temp is perfect at the second line. I'm putting her in the shop tomorrow and i would like to get an idea how bruised my wallet will be after the day is over . Any and all ideas and suggestions will be greatly appreciated . Thanks in advance everyone!

P.S. it is probably the passenger side gasket.

Thumbs up

Got everything fixed today. It turnes out that the problem was not the exaust manifold gasket, but one of the sparkplugs had gotten loose and was moving around and that was where I was loosing pressure. We got alot of maintenance stuff done to her and it came out to be alot cheaper than expected!

Nice, sorry no one responded fast enough but sounds like you got away pretty good and took care of some future problems by doing further preventative maintenance. Glad that your back on the road!
