i guess this is a longshot, but i really need a grey arm rest for my 1992 Ls 400.

ive searhed on ebay and around the internet, and it seems i can only find es300 arm rests and things like that.

by some chance are these compatible??

if not, can someone point me to where i can find a grey arm rest?? i have a few PMs sent out to local members in classified but no responses yet.

Is it just the leather that is tore up? If so when you open up the arm rest if you look under it the lining plate is held on by a few screws, with that removed you will see how the leather is upholstered in there held in by upholstery staples. If you take this to your local interior guy you should be able to have him simply remove and replace the leather. Gray is a common color that is kept in stock and the grain Toyota/Lexus uses is pretty common as well so you should be able to get a good match. You should be able to just bring in the armrest and pick it up the next day, laced in new skins for about 65 bucks. Save you hunting around and while your at it embroider your ClubLexus screen name in that mug!!!

hm thats interesting, guess i will start looking for leather shops?

any leather shop should do this?? or only a automotive custom one??

The door on the first of the UCF21's is the same inside , late 94 to late 96 , soooo this means you should be able to fit the whole inner door panel and arm rest .
I don't think you would be able to just change the arm rest over as it might not match the later panel shape .
I'm going to the later type door switch so will be getting the whole panel in from Yahoo Japan , this is a long term thing so don't hold your breath !!
