Well... some may have heard, the front end of the car got wrecked... so what's new? I went to Ohio last week to pick up a hood, and it is the Emerald color even though they said it was "Gray" over the phone. Not to mention on the way down, I bent one of my SSR's and destroyed a tire. ****ing woohoo. Ended up costing almost $500 for the trip... only $240 of which was for the hood.

Okay, so I get home yesterday, and find this bad boy on my door:

I was like "Wait... I just ordered these last week... I doubt that's what it is"

So I took time off school today to hit the post office and do some stuff around the house. I went there, and they're all like "We're going to redeliver it, it should be at your house". Luckily my mom was home and she signed for it while I was at the damn post office.

Hmmm... what could be in this box that came from overseas...

Woohoo... my 1-piece JDM headlights!!!

They use H4 bulbs, so I need to splice into my stock connectors to get the headlights to work. Fogs should work as-is, but don't for some reason, I think it might be the fuse that's blown...

Quite a bit of difference here. Well, my fog light got busted out in the accident, but you get the idea...

They're not wired up yet... I'll splice and solder later.

Put my corner markers on, it looks good so far. I need to clean the lens on the driver's side.. it's looking kinda dirty.

So the car is finally coming together. Now all I need to do is get a hood latch and then a grille, and the car is good to go front-end wise. Woohoo!

explain the bent SSR.

how much did you pay for those light things?

and you know you left a strap where your grille goes, right?

Michigan roads are pathetic. They closed a section of I-75 and it took me on a detour around the City of Detroit. Hit a gigantic pothole... basically bottomed out the strut and the upper arm probably hit the body. I prayed it didn't bend the rim, but of course, within a few minutes that baby was flat. Got out and looked, and there was a good amount of damage. Nothing I can do... woo hoo for messing up one of the only documented set of SSR A-Dishes around here.

I took the wheel to a tire shop near where I bent it (didn't have a spare ), and paid a Mexican dude there $50 to heat it up and bend it back. He did a pretty good job, he was definitely skilled. It SHOULD hold air now, so I'm waiting to buy a tire and mount it. It's a shame... the tire I destroyed only had about 4000 miles on it, if that.

Lights were on the cheap. I won an eBay auction by accident... got them for $190 shipped with insurance. They're in perfect shape.

Yes, I'm aware of the ratchet strap... it's a temporary hood latch

Werd, I sold the F250 just yesterday, so I have a little more money to play with fixing her. It feels good to see her back as she was before that dreadful day in January.

The hood actually looks like the darker part of my car in direct sunlight.

I see the drift guys around here do it all the time... the "Panda" with the white car and black hood. Well, I guess my car is now the "Raccoon" because of the grey, dark grey, and black. Haha

Yes, looks like the hood matches the lower part. You can def get away with it for a while, till you have time to out. Unlike a tan body, with a green hood
