I know my code, but i forget how to unlock the radio, anyone remember it or have a few minutes to go check?

i thought it was like key on, car off, hold 1 and 6 and a certain way on the tuner button (up or down) then hit the power button... but its not working

im tired of not having a radio dammit

wtf are you serious? none of you have to do those stupid steps that require 3 hands everytime you unhook your battery??

my radio says "SEC" until i do it.

the owners manual is somewhere @ my house, i just keep forgetting about it until i'm on the way to work

Sounds like you have the same Pioneer system that's in the ES. If so, here's the steps:

1) Make sure the radio is OFF and the ignition key is in the "ACC" position
2) While holding the left side of the 1-2 button (with your right hand) and the right side of the 5-6 button (with your left hand) push and hold the PWR.VOL **** (with your nose) until "SEC" appears on the display.
3) Press the left side of the 1-2 button (with your right big toe) while holding the upper side of the TUNE-SEEK button in (with your left elbow) "---" and tape operation indicator will appear on the display.
4) Input your identification number using the 1-2 and 3-4 buttons repeatedly.
5) With your identification number appearing on the display, press the SCAN button and hold it in until "SEC" appears on the display. "SEC" will go off to indicate the system is set.

HAHA you left out the part where you have to do all that while holding your breath or it will sense too much CO2 and not unlock.
