Brake fluid brand?

I used Castrol GT LMA fluid when I flushed out and bled my brakes, which was the best at the store I went to. Funny thing though, the bottles I bought were the original design and recently I went to the store and noticed that they change the design and it now says that it's synthetic. I wonder if it was always synthetic or if they just changed the formula.

Castrol SRF is the best for a track car unless you've already installed speedbleeders and don't mind bleeding your brakes before every track day. For my street cars and bikes I use Valvoline Synthetic. It's cheap, has a reasonable dry/wet boiling point, and I've never had an issue with it in the last 10 years I've used it.

The LMA is also quite good and the SRF is amazing, though I used it once in my RX300 and had some contamination issues, but it definitely is the best brake fluid on the planet, but it costs $$$.
You can add the ATE to your present fluid (I am assuming you are a bit low), but the best is to go get the fluid flushed and move to the ATE.
Many auto specialty shops sell ATE. I used to get ATE at BMW. Tire Rack one of our CL sponsors, sells it, http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/ate/a...blue_fluid.jsp

I don't think any of us need to get $80 brake fluid. That is just overkill for a commuter car.
