Default 93 wierd idle and studdering

first off i'd like to say hi and that i appriciate any and all help i get. thanks.
well, ive been searching for quite a few days now to figure out what this problem is and i havent come up with anything so heres my problem:
not but two days ago i gave the car a basic ignition tune-up (i.e. wires, caps, and rotors) because before that it seemed to have just a simple misfire, no CEL though. did that all and put it back togther but now my problem seems to be getting worse. heres what'll happen:
Ill turn the car on and it idles and around 1000 rpms for a while until i A: put it into gear or B: it warms up.
then Ill drive around and it'll be fine UNTIL i come to a stop and take off. thats where my problem really is - it doesnt matter what gear i have it in or if the overdrive is on or off the thing studders uncontrolably. then ill take off and after about 5-10mph the thing srives beautifully. then you come to a stop and there it is again. the thing that bugs me is that the CEL isnt on. the car shifts fine and everything. I was either thinking a unknown vacuum leak or my timing. not quite sure but any help is appriciated! thanks

im guessing bad fuel filter or pump.

lower rpm the problem is more apparent. when it gets into the higher range, there is enough fuel getting to the engine to mask the problem. idle doesnt take much fuel and its a constant load. if it was a vac leak then it would have a hunting idle and you wouldnt know a difference after you are on your way. the 1000rpm cold start i think is a system to warm the motor to operating temps quicker.

i would change the fuel filter with your next oil change regardless of what the problem may be. they are cheap and play a more critical role in your cars performance than people realize
