It will physically fit, sure, but getting it to work electrically is another story. You would need to change engine computers and the engine wiring harness, as well as the MAF, and possibly more items too. What's the problem you're having with your current engine?

You sure can ! i meen its still the same 1UZ so all youd have to do is when you get the 91 out sit the engines next to each other and start puting older style parts on the 95 that might be diferent you know like a sensor here and there small stuff, I got an LS engine that im puting on my SC400 and I had to change the oil pan and im puting all accessories (pulleys, a/c, ect...) from the sc on the new motor, it all bolts up!, so yes you can definately do the swap without having to change all the wiring and what not, BUT! before you start let me warn you i think lexus built these cars to never be taken a part again lol, every bolt you need to get to is in a difficult spot , which will force you to remove other parts and it ends up being a domino effect , ex. i had to cut a 2 inch hole on each side of my floor panels to get to the tranny bolts and they were torqued and with loctite , my craftsman wrench was bending, i had to use a hydraulic jack and pump it between the floor panel and the wrench, so far i spent 4 days taking it out ( got it out today) , so before u go into a swap make sure its a good reason lol, i would advise you to buy it and keep it stored incase the original dies on you. Good luck!

nope, 95 means the motor is an interference motor since lexus redesigned the heads+intake.

do-able but will require a lot of work on the electronics.

Also the intake manifold is different, the EGR setup, etc. just to list a few more things.

This should be perfectly possible though not as easy as what you propose.

You cannot mix & match the electronics. I have no idea if the wiring loom/harness is the same but you would want to move the 95 Engine & tranny & all corresponding electronics to the 91.

{May be possible for a Pre 95 tranny to work with a 95 engine but I would just be guessing**.

In other words the engine & transmission control electronics must also make this switch & perform as they had in the 95 they came from.

2nd coice: take the short block (no cylinder heads or manifold) off the 95 & use your 91 components on top of that.

Some of u may remember months ago I posted my car not starting since I cleaned my throttle body. Well 6 months having the car not running & a low budget, I've changed the t/b and the car still starts for a second than stalls. Im gonna change the MAF sensor & PRAY it works but if not I wanna pre-shop droppin another engine in her. The engine in the car was just put in and has 80k on it, would be a shame to go to waste but I've been tryin to get this thing runnin for 6 months.
