Question about 90 and 92 grills
Could a grill designed for 92-94 LS400s fit on my 90 ls?
I have looked all over online trying to find a website that sells custom grills for 90 ls 400s and unfortunately, I have had no luck. All I have found is one grill desgined for the 92-94. See, I am trying to take the "L" logo off my grill, but not trying leave the circle there without, so I just want a new grill altogether. Help anyone?

The grill should be fine as your car is still a first gen LS. The second gen LS didnt come about until 95 which involved a body style change, different grill, headlights, etc. The first gen bodystyle covered everything from 89(when Lexus first arrived here) all the way up until 94. The 93-94 model is considered to be a 1 1/2 gen LS however there were only mechanical upgrades for these years in the first gen category. Go ahead andget the grill.

Sony, if you gonna be all technical about it and all,,, I quit. LOL!!!! I know there were more than just technical and mechanical changes to the 1 1/2 gen LS, and that the grills were slightly different in design factor(we're gonna work on that OCD factor later,,LMAO!!!!).
Allblack, as far as fitment goes, it should fit fine without any modification at all. Just keep in mind that with any aftermarket item, it may not always be just pop it out and pop in the new one. You may have to do a little work in order to get it in, but not much.

trunkn1 is dead on here. It is still first gen, and while the series II adjustments/refinements that came about in 93 changed the grill -- The size/shape is very similar. It should go in without any modification. If it requires some, it will be very minor.
Ask Brandicus, he is very , very good with grills.
