Not really. It will throw the uninformed for a loop though. "I didn't know lexus made a celsior. " etc etc.

Default Replaced chipping rear bumper trim

Replaced this trim on the rear bumper with 3/8 inch chrome half round trim with double sided 3M tape on the back. Paid $20.00 for 20 feet. Cut the ends to match perfectly from the old piece. Looks virtually perfect. Old trim has a clip on each end and once it's undone the whole piece peels off. I recommend pulling slowly.

Default Fixed the drivers door window switch indicators (1994 LS)

Recently I noticed at night that my green window switch indicators weren't lit (marked by black arrows) although the door lock button indicator was, which I have marked by a red arrow.

This bugged me and I wanted it fixed so I opened up the mechanism after removing it from the door panel. I first removed the wood grain panel which was held on by 3 silver screws. Next, I removed the plastic switches from the electrical contact points and mechanism which was held on by 5 or 6 black screws. I noticed after looking at the back of the plastic switches themselves that the door lock button had a metal on metal contact point which lit the switch. The other window switches had metal on plastic contact points. (Little white plastic pegs connected to the copper) This told me everything I needed to know. I suspected that from the factory they might've had some conductive grease on the pegs which conducted the electrical current to the switch light. Maybe it had dried out due to the car being 21 years old. Next, I took some general aluminum foil and rapped it around each plastic peg making sure it made contact with the copper surrounding the peg itself. Make sure the foil touches nothing else or you might short something out if you decide to do the foil like I did. After, I reassembled the switch and plugged it in. All lights now work again🙌.

Default My new to me, 2000 Platinum Edition.

Just got this out of Florida. Now it is my summer car here in Michigan.

My 90' LS, will now be my dry pavement days, winter car.

When the snow gets deep from Dec to March, my 4WD V6 Honda gets it done.

I love to wrench on cars and even did the timing belt on my 90'.

Debbie

Default Here is another view of her.

This view is of the wonderful sweep they did from the hood crease back to the mirrors and up the c pillar to the rear fender. Love her lines and with the special paint color, it makes the lights seem a lot less dated IMO.
