make sure the preload is set right. I've seen a fair few megans come with wrongly set preload from the factory. The spring is NOT supposed to have any preload on it, the lower collars are supposed to be just snugged up enough to keep the spring from moving around and that's it.

Also, if you call Megan they'll tell you that you're allowed to droop the springs up to 1" (~24mm) without warranty issues, at least that's what they told me twice.

not sure what you mean by "droop" the spring?
If i can get megan mk3 supra coilover rear springs they are 1.6in shorter and same spring rate.
LOL "too expensive...."

Anyways here are Megans not nearly even close to being dropped all the way. Still had another 1/2 of drop in the rears and atleast 3" in the fronts. Im on 20's here

And here they are drooped 1/2" in the rear and on 19's. Rides great (smooth and just a little stiffer than stock) as long as your UCA clearance holes have been drilled out.

Thanks PD, I read the preload FAQ on the Megan site before the coilovers even arrived(lol). It's just snugg enough to hold the spring snugg but not so snugg it won't rotate with the shock fully extended(easier height adjustment IMO). On the site it says any droop voids the warrantee. Good to know they allow droop. I just have to measure shock travel at ride height now, so I can see how much I would have left after the droop. VA roads blow BIgTIMe! It's like driving on the moon with full gravity. I also have them set full soft for my pregnant wife so I can't go supper low right now anyway.

It's actually a custom plate made by a local shop called Boomer's in Boston,Ma. They didn't have a kit in & the installer just created this one by hand. The DVD player is crisp & clear!

Thanks. The car will be a beater drift car....hence the budget. Hoping to pull off the same wheels except in 18x10.5
